Several situations may trigger an aggressive dog. Indeed, if the hierarchical position of the dog in the family is not properly established, if the dog is provoked by pain or inappropriate behavior of a family member despite its repeated warnings, if the animal been poorly socialized when young or, more rarely if he suffers from a behavioral disease, it may have to use aggression as a means of communication. In addition, there is another type of aggression very common: it is the territorial aggression. When this type of aggression, the dog growls, shows teeth, barking or biting strangers (humans or animals) who approach the family members (human and animal), or enter its territory. Besides the obvious danger this presents, unwanted barking disturb the neighborhood. The causes of this dangerous behavior may have a genetic component. Indeed, studies have shown that certain breeds like German Shepherd, Labrador Retriever or Cocker English breeds appeared to be more "territorial". But the main element responsible for this aggression is the attitude of the owner with his dog and the education he proffers.
